I wake with a start.  My heart races and my clothes stick to me, soaked with sweat.  I sit up, rubbing my face.  A cold shiver runs down my spine.  My shirt bonds to me and pulls my hair as I yank it over my head.  It lands with a wet splat on the floor.  I stand and peel my pants from my legs.  The rest of my clothes prove just as difficult to remove and they all fall on the pile.  I grumble as I pull the soaked sheets from the bed.  Thankfully the mattress doesn't absorb liquids.  Everything piles up.  I leave it for later and hit the shower.

The water feels wonderful as it washes away the sweat on my body, the heat arousing me as I think of Alex and Val.  So enjoying the shower, I don't hear the door open.  I jump as I feel hands on my back.  Sandy stands behind me, her boldness evident as she tries to reclaim some of my good graces.

"I thought you could use someone to wash your back, Master," she whispers as she hopes I don't kick her out.  How can I punish her any further than what she has done to herself?  I nod and she perks up.

The shower lasts far longer than normal as Sandy cleans every part of my body.  I watch her as she washes my legs, her eyes fighting to avoid my exposed malehood.  Normally, she would be enjoying some sexual attention from me but she wouldn't dare attempt it.  Not yet.  Nor do I try anything; though, I would love to feel her body against mine as she pleasures me.  I try to wash my arms but she rips the soap from my grasp.  She wants to do this, more for herself than for me.  And I realize she wants to prove herself worthy to me.

Nor will she allow me to dry myself.  She takes great care making sure every drop of water is gone from my fur.  Her gentle touch feels wonderful as she brushes my tail with loving care, making sure every strand lies properly.  I look in the mirror and approve of the reflection.  "You did a good job, Sandy."

"Thank you, Master."  I see a slight smile on her lips.  Happiness returns to her as she hears the praise from my mouth, her tail stands up again, twitching.

We return to the bedroom and the pile of wet clothes vanished.  New sheets cover the bed.  I smile, "You've been busy."  I look around, "but no outfit picked out for me?"

I hear her scramble as she quickly moves to the closet.  She returns with one of my more flattering outfits.  All the girls love this one as it really shows off my body.  Tight pants that hug my butt and reveal if I'm aroused.  A shirt that doesn't button all the way, showing off my chest.  Not my favorite shirt but I enjoy the attention.  Sandy helps me dress and her eyes light up as she checks me out.  Now it's her turn.  "Let's get you dressed, girl."

She shakes her head, "Do not trouble yourself, Master.  I -"

I cut her off.  "Now Sandy, you picked out a great outfit for me.  Why would I not want to pick out an outfit for you?"  She nods, her gaze falls from my eyes.  "Come."  She follows as we head to her quarters.  I look through her closet and find just what I had in mind.  She grins as I hand it to her and I see that fire return to her eyes.  I watch as she dresses.  She takes her time, making sure she teases me with every movement.  A loose fitting skirt colored emerald green slides up her legs, held in place by a black belt with a gold clasp.  A white tube top slips over her head and reveals a large amount of cleavage as it covers just enough of her bust.  She looks at herself in the mirror, smiling.

Reaching around her, I pull out a sparkling necklace from her jewelry box.  I haven't seen her wear it for a long time.  She purrs as it slips around her neck.  And she gasps as my lips kiss her neck.

"M-m-master, I don't - mmmm - deserve this."  My hands lightly scratch her back as I kiss my way up her neck; her purring grows louder.

The ship rocks heavily as the sound of explosions on the outer hull echo through the corridors.  I'm forced to relinquish my advances towards Sandy as we both quickly dart through her door and up the corridor towards the bridge.  Alarms scream as another explosion rocks the ship.

"What are you doing to my ship!?" I yell as we reach the bridge.  Valerie fights to keep control of the helm as the ship rocks from another hit.

"We're being attacked, Master!" Alex barks and she changes the screen to show the culprits.  Two Seminger destroyers and a heavy cruiser approach us, guns blazing but barely hitting us as Val twists and turns the ship through every maneuver I taught her.

"And how did they sneak up on us?" I glare at Alex.  She avoids my eyes, knowing she screwed up.

Valerie grunts as she turns the ship.  "I'm sorry, Master.  I distracted Alex.  Please don't blame her," Val pleads for leniency for Alex.  The anger quickly fades as my attention falls fully on the emerging situation.

"Master, we're being hailed."

"Let's hear it."  I tap Val on the shoulder and she slips out of the chair.  I take her place.

"Attention cargo ship, surrender and prepare to be boarded," the hissing voice orders.  "You are now priso-"

I glance at Alex and she cuts the link.  My fingers tap the codes on the panel next to my chair and the familiar computer voice comes on, "Conversion in progress."  The ship changes once more, closing off the unneeded parts of the ship and giving us the needed speed and agility.

"Master?" Sandy's voice trembles as she speaks up.

"I know Sandy, we don't have the weapons to take on all three.  We're not going to."  The ship pulls up in response to my jerk on the control stick and we climb at a good 75-degree angle.  The structural integrity alarms sound from the stress of changing the ship's direction so suddenly.

"Conversion complete."

The intercom lights up as I tap the key, "Calista, you remember that code I told you never to use?"

"Yes, Master."

"Use it.  The rest of you buckle in for one wild ride!"  I hear movement as the other three strap themselves into their chairs.  The harness hugs against me as the thick nylon straps tighten.

"Uh, Master?  What did I do?  Strange things are happening down here!"  The nervous tone fills Cali's voice as the ship alters the Engineering Section.

I smile.  "Strap in, Cali.  You just gave us a third engine." And I hear the sound of her moving from the intercom.  "Where're those ships, Alex?"

Her fingers tap away on her console, "Keeping us in firing range, Master."

"Hang on!" I yell and hit the red blinking button on the console.  All at once we're smashed into our seats as the ship leaps forward with the added power.  Calista squeaks loudly as she didn't quite get herself buckled in before I pushed the button.  "Alex, tell me when we're out of their firing range."

"Already out, Master!" she calls back as her fingers hold onto the edge of her console.

The ship slows down and comes about, ready to face the advancing enemy.  I tap a couple keys on my console and a magnified image of the approaching ships appears on my console.  A crosshair pops up and the gears grind above us as the ship adjusts into a new alignment.  Slowly I focus the crosshair on the central ship of the three, the heavy cruiser.  The thrusters burst briefly as I tap the controls one way then another.  The crosshair sits directly on the center of the cruiser.  The lights extinguish as I push the fire button.  A large energy beam erupts from the beam cannon resting on the roof, a straight line of pure hardcore energy rams clean through the heavy cruiser disintegrating it.  Our ship rocks and I hear explosions.  And Cali scream.  The scream echoes clear up from Engineering to the Bridge.

My heart stops and I slap my hand against the harness release.  "You've got 60 seconds until power comes back.  Get us out of here as soon as it's back," I yell at Sandy as I bolt from the Bridge.  The corridors are pitch black as I race through them.  Even with great eyesight I still can't see anything.  Several times I ram into the bulkhead as I forget the way.  Cali's screams grow as I near the aft sections.  Ortega already stands at the entrance to Engineering.  Fire blazes forth from the third engine and portions of the support beams lie mangled on the floor.  "Find Cali.  I've got to stop those fires!"  We move in and Ortega disappears from my vision as I work my way towards the inferno, the heat intensifies drastically as I approach and I'm forced to shield my eyes with my hand.

The hatch covering the manual controls is dented and it takes all my strength to pull it free.  Sparking overhead cables shower down a rain of fire and I smell the horrid scent of burning hair.  And I feel the burning as some embers burn through to my skin.  The controls refuse to budge and I keep fighting with them.  The ship shakes as the power returns and the jolt gives me the leverage needed.  The controls move and the engine shuts down taking the fire with it.  I turn and see Ortega holding the limp body of Calista, blood covers her legs, her eyes closed.  And for the moment I think of nothing other than her.  My heart plummets as I see her body.

"She's unconscious, Captain.  She was caught under the support beams and her legs are pretty bad.  Won't be a problem to patch her up."  He turns, "and you're smoking."  Ortega slips out the door and I smack the smoldering patch of fur on my shoulder.  My heart soars as it sinks in: She's alive!  I work my way back to the Bridge and note the damage as I pass the different compartments.

Alex stares at her console, "They're not pursuing, Master."  She still won't look at me.

I look out the cockpit windows and stars streak by.  "Alex, see if Ortega needs help."

"Yes Master."  She doesn't glance at me at all as she leaves.  Val takes her place.

"Sandy, we need repairs.  Set course for the nearest friendly port."

"Yes, Master.  That should be... Andromeda," the map on her console shows the systems and our current location.  She points to the one haven where people choose to disappear and stay missing.

I hear Val gasp, "Andromeda, Master?  That isn't a nice place."

"I know Val," I sigh, "but it's the closest and they don't ask questions.  And they do their repair jobs well."  The ship changes course and we head to the asteroid belt.  The hollowed out hulk of a large asteroid is home to Andromeda Station.  And an old flame that threatened to take my head if she ever saw me again.

I leave the bridge and inspect what I can.  We took some hefty hits but nothing's damaged beyond repair.  Ortega meets me outside the infirmary.  "Calista's fine.  Battered and bruised but nothing's broken, thankfully.  I want her to take it easy for a couple of days so her legs heal.  Too much pressure may cause more harm than good."

"Good job.  I haven't lost anyone under my command since the war and I don't intend to start now."  Alex comes out and stops, her eyes quickly drop and she slips past me.  "Excuse me, Doc.  I have another matter to attend to."  The blue-feathered head nods and disappears back through the doorway.  My feet quickly catch me up to Alex, "This wasn't your fault Alex so stop beating yourself up."

She doesn't stop, doesn't even slow down.  I grab her upper arm and she turns on me, tears running down her cheeks.  "If I hadn't gotten distracted we would've had plenty of time to avoid -" Her words end as my lips meet hers.  She tries to push but quickly stops.  Alex remembers her place.  And she melts in my arms; hers slide around my neck as mine pull her tight against me.  I taste Valerie on her lips.  Now I know what distracted her.  Our kiss ends and I take her hand.  We walk down the corridors towards my quarters; the anticipation of what is to come builds between us and neither says a word.

**

I lay there thinking.  My arms rest behind my head while Alex's head rests on my chest.  She sleeps contentedly after we both had a mind-blowing release of pent up energy.  The smell of our encounter lingers as does her taste on my lips.  Emotions and flashbacks flood my mind as I think of Andromeda and the one I thought I would never see again.  The last time I saw her, she stood at the docking platform, her long black hair blowing from the breeze caused by other ships coming and going.  Her violet eyes stared at me without a single tear as her words ripped my heart to pieces.  I still remember the light glinting off her silver scales even from a distance as the ship - my ship - flew away.  Looks like my self-imposed exile from Andromeda comes to an end.

**

The dockyard skipper gives us clearance to one of the repair berths and Sandy expertly flies us in.  As soon as we land work crews appear and start repairs.  They know what to do and the old girl gets herself on the road to recovery.

"Alex, go with Calista and gather whatever supplies we need.  Val, Sandy, watch the ship."  The girls aren't happy with their assignments but I need them to do their jobs quickly.  I head down the ramp and Ortega follows.  We don't talk as we quickly make our way through the yards towards the merchant district.  The streets are full of merchants, shoppers, low-lifes, and those not wanting to be found.  We pass by everyone.

We round a corner and I see the neon sign, The Dragon's Breath.  It hasn't changed but the building has.  What was once a tiny little falling apart building now stands as a large boarding inn.  My pace doesn't falter as we approach but Ortega still feels a change, "Why do I get the feeling this isn't a good idea?"

I smile, "Visiting an old friend doesn't make it a bad idea."

"But this isn't just an old friend.  I'd bet on it."

"And you'd win," I sigh.  "Don't be surprised if I need medical assistance."  And with that we reach the entrance.  I peer in the doorway and don't see her.  My heart races and my palms become sweaty.  We enter and Ortega heads to the bar.  The bar is the same.  Same woodwork.  Same décor.  Very little hangs on the walls except for the wall behind the bar.  A display case runs the entire length of the wall and contains a collection of items the owner picked up over the years.  I see the old music box standing in the corner.  All the music is the same except for one entry, the tag scratched out.  I slip a coin in and tap the number on the keypad.  My hunch was right as the song starts up.  I haven't heard it in 14 years.

A roar issues from the kitchen as the silver dragoness tears into the barroom.  "Who dares play -" She stops dead in her tracks, her violet eyes locked on me.  Conflicting emotions flash across her face.  Scarlet slips around behind the bar trying her best to maintain her composure.  I walk over and slide onto the stool.  "You have a lot of nerve coming back."

"Nerve?  Or a death wish.  Doesn't matter.  My ship needed repairs and Andromeda was closest." A glass appears in front of me with an old familiar liquor in it.  I down it.  Almost forgot how much it burns.  Our hands bump as she moves around and we both freeze.  "It's good to see you, Scarlet."  She pulls back not sure whether she should reply.  The towel in her hands answers the unspoken question as her hands wring and twist it over and over until her claws end up shredding it.  And I see it.  Her eyes.  Tears.

She moves down the bar and into the backroom.  I follow.  Our song plays.  "I thought I was over you.  I cried so many nights after you left."  Tears stream down her silver cheeks.  My hand brushes them away just like they did so many years before.

"You still look as hot as you did back then."  Her body is still very athletic, just like a dragoness in her early twenties.  Strong muscles, nothing sagging, no wrinkles, perfection of beauty.  She smiles as she nuzzles my hands.  I lean in and our lips meet.  The vibrations of her purring reverberate throughout my body until her arms slip around my neck.  My hands slide down to her hips and her wings open up and wrap around us.  The lover's embrace we shared so many times.  Emotion consumes us both as our minds fail.

A voice from the barroom, "Mother!"  Quickly she pulls away as the door opens and a tall young red dragon stands in the doorway.  "Mother, are you alright?  You've been crying!"  He moves over to her, "What did he do to you?"  His brown eyes fall on me and I see the fire of anger burning in them.

Scarlet puts her hand on his arm, "It's alright, Orion."  The dragon calms down from his mother's soothing voice and part of me feels a pang of sadness at the thought of another being with her.  "This is your father."  My eyes nearly pop out of my head.  We both look at her.  She smiles, "Now you know why I couldn't leave.  I swore I would never raise a child onboard a ship."

My jaw slowly closes as the realization sinks in.  "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I knew your heart.  You would've stayed but your heart would be out soaring through the stars."  Her gaze falls to the floor, "I couldn't live with myself knowing you gave up your passion."

Orion sizes me up.  He stands as tall as his mother at 6'6" with his long tail swaying anxiously behind him.  It has to be 6-foot in length.  His wings stay folded behind him but I figure they're just as big as Scarlet's.  His brown hair flows down his back.  A quick glance at his mom and he leaves us alone.

"He has my eyes," I say.

"And your fighting ability," she adds.

I chuckle, "That bad?"

Scarlet smirks, "You were always better in a fight than me."  Her hand grabs my shoulder and she pulls me back to her, hugging me tightly.  "I never stopped loving you," she whispers into my ear.

Her arms feel amazing and I remember how much I loved being held by her, her larger frame making it difficult for me to hold her.  And I smell her scent.  More fragrant than any bouquet and more arousing than any perfume Alex ever wore.  My lips find that sweet spot right by her collarbone and her moans fill the room.  And she remembers how to work her tongue over my ear, her hot breath making my legs wobble.

We slowly part in a defiant gesture to our bodies.  We both know this isn't the time or place to rekindle our romance.  "What are you doing for dinner, Tiger?" she asks using the nickname she gave me.

I open my mouth to answer but the sound of breaking glass interrupts.  We emerge from the room into chaos.  I spot Ortega in the midst of the brawl as two wolves fight him.  Without a second thought I move.  A bottle flies by my head, a quick glance follows it as it shatters against Scarlet's open wing, her reflexes still in peak shape.  I see her face before I turn back and tackle one of the wolves.  She is NOT happy.  And all this time our song keeps playing.

A moment later and the most ferocious roar I ever heard freezes everyone in their tracks.  I look at Scarlet, a thin wavy spire of smoke escapes from her maw.  The fires still burn within her.  And I see Orion at the other end of the bar, an unconscious bull at his feet.  "I don't know what happened here but the bar's CLOSED!"  Everyone quickly moves to the exit.  I grab Ortega's arm and he stops.

Soon, only the four of us remain in the barroom.  "What happened?" I ask.

"I was looking over the display case," Ortega points at the wall.  The centerpiece is a unit picture of the 5th Division.  Scarlet stands behind me in the picture.  I stare.  So long ago but I never forgot any of their faces.  Ortega's words bring me back to the moment, "The two wolves decided to pick a fight calling the 5th a bunch of traitors and losers.  Only they didn't know who they picked on."  He smiles.

Scarlet looks the bird over, "You served?"  He nods.  Her mood quickly changes and she gives him a back-breaking dragon hug.  "I expect you two to help clean this mess up."  So we start.  With the four of us working it doesn't take long.  I watch Orion when the opportunity presents itself.  "He never asked about his father," Scarlet says in a low tone.

"He's disappointed."  Scarlet snorts in response to my observation.  "Look in his eyes.  He wanted me to be some big shot dragon that ruled the shipping lanes.  Not some cargo ship captain."

"Give him time."  Her hand pats my shoulder.  "Come to dinner.  Tonight."  I nod.

"Hello?" the familiar voice of Valerie calls from the closed front door.

"We're closed for the evening," Orion replies.

"It's okay.  She's with me."  Val's head pops in and she looks around.  Spotting the dragons, she timidly enters.  And I catch Scarlet's eyes.  They narrow as she looks at her competition.  Then they spot the collar and she relaxes.  A slave is no competition.

"Master, we have all the supplies we need and the foreman says the ship will be ready tomorrow."  Val's eyes dart to the dragoness.

"Good.  Ortega, escort Val back to the ship.  I'll return later."  Val looks at me, back to the dragoness, then again to me.  She's afraid.  I step to her and whisper, "It's okay, Val.  I trust her with my life.  And so should you."  She looks at me, clearly not satisfied with the answer.  I kiss her forehead and they leave.

"Very pretty."  I nod in agreement and feel Scarlet's hand against the back of my head as she slaps me.  "I thought you hated slavery."

I glare at her for the whack job, "I do but I didn't receive them by choice."

"Them?" her eyebrows raised in a question.

"I have four.  Won them in a card game."  I look at Orion again.  "And no chance of ever paying for their freedom."  And sadness almost overwhelms me.

Scarlet disappears into the kitchen and I hear her giving orders to the staff.  She emerges shortly thereafter, "All set.  Dinner calls!"  My stomach grumbles in agreement.  I chuckle and the three of us leave the inn behind.  Orion keeps his distance as we walk.  And Scarlet's hand finds mine.

The walk ends all too quickly as we reach one of the mansions located in the more 'exclusive' part of the housing sector.  "You've done quite well, Scarlet."  Three stories of rooms fill the yard before us.  Only a small yard separates the front of the house from the street.  A large, and probably electrified, rod-iron fence keeps everyone off the lawn.

"Weary spacefarers will pay the price for a warm meal and soft bed."  Servants swarm us as we enter and soon find ourselves in the large dinning room.  Large paintings cover the walls in this luxurious room.  The chairs are lush and very comfortable, red velvet.  Very little conversation happens while we eat.  The plates disappear and the atmosphere changes to a much more relaxed climate.

I turn to Orion hoping to get some talk out of him, "Tell me about yourself.  I'd like to know what my son enjoys."

His brown eyes glare at me for a moment, "Excuse me.  It's time I met my friends."

He gets up and leaves the room with Scarlet following behind.  And I catch bits and pieces of the conversation..."He's your father!"... "I don't care!"... "Then where's he been?"...  The sound of flapping wings ends the conversation and Scarlet reenters the room.  She isn't happy with the way things worked out.

She picks up her drink, pauses and stares at the glass, and then sets it down roughly.  She's mad and I feel rather uncomfortable.  I try to read her, try to figure out what she's thinking.  14 years is a long time to be away.  She keeps her gaze at the table and sniffles.  Her body starts trembling.  I get up and hurry to her as she drops into the chair, tears streaming down her cheeks again.  My hand touches her arm and she cries, the sound of sobbing filling the room.  "Why did you have to leave?"  I cradle her head against my chest as I stand beside her.

I kiss the top of her head as a hand strokes her long hair.  Her sobbing slows as I hum a tune from the past, a song she used to sing to me as I fought the demons I carried back from the war.  Now it's my turn to comfort her.  She was the physically stronger one of us but I was the emotional rock she needed.  We made a great team and we had grand plans for our future after the war.  Only life got in the way.  And he just flew off.  Time stands still as memory after memory floods my mind.  And our song comes to my lips and I sing softly.  Scarlet's sobs cease, her ears twitching when I hit a sour note or two.

She gets up from the chair and leads me upstairs to the third floor.  A stone patio covers the back half of the floor and we find seats under a wooden gazebo.  "Would you stay if I ask you to?"  Tears still fill her eyes.  Tears and love.

"Would you be my wife?" I ask in response.

"Yes," she whispers.  "And I would make up for the fourteen years we lost."

"Then I would stay."  This makes her smile.

"And what of your crew?"

"The girls are hard workers.  And I'm sure there's always a need for a doctor.  Ortega will find work."

Scarlet leans over and kisses me, her long tongue slipping into my mouth.  I never win dueling with her.  And I find myself thinking of Valerie.  And her kisses.  Our lips slowly part.  "I won't ask you to stay," she says.  "I know your heart."  She grins.  "And I bet that vixen keeps your bed warm."

Blood turns my cheeks and ears red.  "None of them ever compared to you, Scarlet."  My hand finds hers.  We gaze into each other's eyes.

"Do you ever think of me when banging them?" she asks so matter-of-factly.

I feel shock at the question and fight the urge to tell her to shove the question where the sun doesn't shine.  I shake my head and her eyes reveal her pain.  "Scarlet... I truly didn't know what to think when we parted.  Several years passed and I devoted myself to my ship.  Didn't have a crew or anything until I won the girls about four years ago."  My eyes scan the houses.  "Nor did I touch another female until they came along."

I stand and her hands turn me to face her.  Her eyes look over my body and her fingers unbutton my shirt.  "Mate with me tonight, Tiger."  The scent of her arousal reaches my nose and I feel the fire intensify in my belly.  So many memories of our encounters flood my mind.  Her eyes now full of lust... nay, love.

The sound of flapping wings distracts us from our conversation as Orion lands on the deck.  The look in his eyes startles me and he moves quickly.  His fist slams against my jaw sending me flying about eight feet back across the patio.  He towers over me, his hands clenched in fists, "I hate you.  I hate you for what you did to mother!  Hate you for leaving us!"  His eyes fill with tears as he vents.  And a trail of smoke escapes from his mouth.  I'm really losing my touch on reading people.

My legs sweep the floor, trying to knock his legs down but he jumps over me.  One clawed hand grabs my shoulder and easily flings me across the patio.  I feel the rash on my upper left arm as the hair scrapes away when I slide on the flooring.  Blood trickles from my shoulder where his claws dug in.  I stand just in time to block a fist.  And I see Scarlet watching.  Why isn't she helping?  Orion's tail flashes over his shoulder and the spade end slices my cheek.  A roundhouse kick does nothing as he simply grabs my leg and twists.  I drop and he holds my lower leg.

"How can I be related to such a weakling?!" And his hands move and I find myself moving around like a rag doll.  He never lets go as he beats me against the floor over and over.  I feel the breaking of ribs when he slams me against the floor in front of Scarlet.  And I realize why she isn't intervening.  Some lessons must be learned the hard way and her eyes plead with me.  I smile before lifting off the floor.  This last time he stops, his fire subsiding some as I don't fight back.  "FIGHT ME!" he roars.

When I don't respond verbally or physically he roars even louder.  His grip on my leg tightens.  The sound of breaking bone fills the air as he snaps my leg like a twig.  I don't cry out as the pain racks my nervous system.  He drops my leg and I fight the pain as I stand up.  My ribs cry out.  Blood runs from my mouth.  My leg screams.  He stares at me wide-eyed, surprised that I would keep fighting such a stronger opponent.  And my fist hits the proper spot on his neck.  He gargles out in pain as he pulls back from me, his hands clutching his neck.  Coughing and wheezing heavily, he falls backwards over a chair.

Now Scarlet steps in, "Your father can kill you easily, Orion.  Don't ever forget it."  She walks over to me and looks at my leg.  The foot sticks out at a very inappropriate angle and some blood pools around it.  "You've had much worse."  Her voice falls to a whisper, "And thank you for not killing him."

She knows he took me by surprise.  And she knows I could easily have shot him.  One hit was all I needed to get in.  I nod and slowly walk to Orion.  He looks at me with awe in his eyes.  He's never been stopped with one hit before.  And never stopped by such a 'weakling.'  "Don't let your anger rule your actions. *cough*  It gets you in trouble.  And learn..." I wobble a little, feeling rather light-headed, "to end..." I fall back into Scarlet's arms as I black out.  I didn't feel the blood rushing from my leg.  And my body took time going into shock.  Darkness takes me.
Part 2. Love is never easy or simple. And the consequences of some actions take years to come about.
